Xiaomi Poco F1 has received the MIUI 10 Global Beta update. While the MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM 8.9.13 is based on Android Oreo, now a MIUI version based on Android 9 Pie is being rolled out soon by the end 2018.
Xiaomi sub-brand Poco has confirmed the news of Android 9 Pie upgrade to the device. Poco F1 will run on the slightly modified version of MIUI with a custom-built launcher that packs an app drawer among other things. Poco seems to be getting faster software updates, faster than what Xiaomi can offer with MIUI.
The Poco F1 was unveiled in August 1 and the device is based on Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI 9.6 software and it is getting MIUI 10 in Beta. The company says that there are several system optimisations in MIUI for Poco, together with automatic background activity management,dynamic resource allocations, critical background acceleration, automatic cache clearing, cache management and real-time defragmentation. MIUI 10 will let Xiaomi devices to portrait photos with single camera. “MIUI 10 lets you create awesome AI portraits with beautiful bokeh effects,” states the company.
