
The latest instalment will account for a 4% hike in the DA rate of central government employees. After the hike will be 42%, up by 4% from 38% of basic pay or pension earlier. The move will cost Rs 12,815 crore to the government exchequer
and will benefit over 1 crore employees of the central government.
